On June 1st, 2023 I was rushed from Columbiana County Jail to the hospital in Boardman, OH where I was 2 cm dilated and in preterm labor from withdrawals. They did surgery, stitched me up and sent me back to jail. My life started out pretty good, but when I was 15 I met my then boyfriend that sold drugs and bought me anything I even thought I wanted. It was great for a while until he got extremely abusive. That is about the time I started using drugs and that was my life until I went to prison due to the abusive relationship and drug use. I came home from prison after 10 months and it didn’t take long before I started partying and using again. I was in and out of jail constantly and going nowhere fast. I ended up getting pregnant with my first daughter and things were good for a while but something was still missing. So it was back to drug use and being in and out of jail.
On July 14th, 2023 I was given the opportunity to go to the Freedom Home 6 months pregnant with my second daughter and really high risk. Being at the Freedom Home I got to know Jesus and He absolutely changed my life for the better. He gave me a family in Christ with people who have been there for me at my lowest and taught me who Jesus was and the love He has for me. Through Him I had a healthy baby girl, a relationship with my oldest child restored, depression and guilt has gone away and my kids get to have a brand new mommy and the life they deserve!
