You are an ambassador sent by God. So what is an ambassador if I’m a Christian and I am one? The easiest definition of an ambassador is the highest ranking diplomat sent as a representative from one country to another.

So if you are a Christian, you are the highest ranking diplomat sent by God from heaven to earth. You represent the king from the kingdom that sent you. And when you begin to learn who you are you’ll know what to.

Most people say well I don’t feel like an ambassador. I don’t know all of the Bible, I still mess up at times, there’s no way I’m an ambassador. Listen to me, write this down, as Christ ambassador you’re not elected by people but you were chosen and appointed by God. You’ve been chosen to represent him no matter how you feel or what anybody says. In the Bible we read about Paul who wrote 2/3 of the New Testament. Paul at one time used to kill Christians he but he had an encounter with the living God, was knocked off his horse, blinded with a bright light and spoken to that there was a calling on his life. God told a man name Ananias that Paul was Gods chosen instrument. This guy was a scary individual and Ananias should’ve ran the other way in his flesh, but God let him know that he was now called to be an ambassador and he was anything but regular.

You too, are Gods chosen instrument regardless of your past. I’m not the best, He just chose you and me! Many of you are called to minister to the next generation, and you say I’m too old, I’m not that cool, I don’t know that much about the Bible….none of that matters! You are Gods chosen instrument to build up believers and to help raise the next generation. As Christ ambassadors you never represent yourself, you always represent God. You represent the government of the kingdom of God, it’s never about us. Jesus was the ultimate ambassador and in John 6:38 he said but “I have to come down from heaven not to do my own well but the will of the one who sent me“. We are here to represent him in everything that we do. When you can bring that to a place in your mind that you genuinely believe it it goes from head knowledge to a heart truth and you begin to see yourself as this representative of God.

So I’m to speak for God? You speak in the authority that’s been given to you. Paul said time and time again I’m not a fancy speaker, I just preached by the power of the gospel. He said I’m the least of the apostles, the low man on the totem pole he was saying. But he said I just do it in the authority that’s been given to me by Christ. Second Corinthians 10:8 Paul said I may seem to be boasting too much about the authority given to us by the Lord. He said but our authority build you up it doesn’t tear you down so I won’t be ashamed of using my authority. That’s what you need to do, you need to not be ashamed of using the authority… it’s not your power.

If I stood in the middle of the street in the in in the city and I tried to stop traffic I would get run over, and if I stand in traffic I probably should get run over. But if I have an outfit and on it has a badge and a badge number, and the police department that I’m a part of and I try to stop traffic you better stop because I represent the authority of the whole government that makes the laws and backs me in telling you to stop. My kids will run in the house from playing outside and they’ll tell on the other one all the time. The kids won’t listen to other kids. So they say he or she won’t let me jump on the trampoline or they won’t let me use the water gun. So I’ll say you tell them that daddy said you have to take turns, and when they hear that they stand about 6 inches taller, walk like they own the whole trampoline or water gun store! They march out with orders from the one who has all authority. They are representing the authority of their father.

So remember there’s no such thing as a regular Christian. You’re an ambassador of Christ, you’re called by God to represent heaven on earth. You were not elected by people but you were chosen and appointed by God. You can read the message of reconciliation as if God was making his appeal through you and you don’t ever represent yourself you always represent God, why? Because like Paul stated in Galatians, I’ve been crucified with Christ, my old life is gone, but nevertheless I live. But it’s no longer I who live you see, it’s Christ living through me! And when you know who you are, you’ll know what to do.
